Our Day in New Delhi

A glimpse of the Indian President's home in the background with the popular auto rickshaw on the left.

In front of the gate of the President's Home in New Delhi.

A family of four rides on a motor scooter in New Delhi. We are curious as to how the dad won the prized helmet in this crazy traffic?

Making sure he climbs onto every chair in the Sheraton lobby as we await our ride to Max Med Centre for medical papers.

Smiling because he loves his "Daddy said that Mommy is the Boss!" shirt.

Checking out flowers in the Sheraton courtyard.

A high five for the guard at the Sheraton.

Sharing a laugh on the way back from Max Med Centre and celebrating that we got the stamp of approval!

No, this is not the start of a motorcycle race. It is just a red light with no observable lanes or structure. We have never seen anything like it. None of the pictures can capture the unexplainable chaos. We are mystified and entertained by it.

For some, transportation can be rather cozy...especially when it is 100 degrees outside. It is common to see trucks like these full of people.

You have to love the "American" giraffe he received as a parting gift from the precious ladies at the orphanage. He hugs it and sucks his thumb as he falls asleep. He is a super napper after a day of activity.

O praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise Him, all ye people.
Psalms 117:1-2

  1. I just stumbled upon your blog. My husband and I are also adopting from Pune. I think our son may be at the same orphanage that your son was at. I'd love to connect with you. Can you email me? amyvimawala@gmail.com
